Smith, Allen M. Age 85, of Shoreview, passed away on March 3, 2015. Preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Stella; first wife of 45 years, Adanell; sisters, Melvina (Leonard) Sorenson, Hazel (Harvey) Dueholm and Agnes (Harold) Owens; brother, John (LaVonne) Smith; and grandson, Connor Folsom. Survived by wife, Janet; sons, Gary (Deb), Brian (Gayle) and Kent Smith; daughter, Carmen (Mark) Hecht; stepchildren, Cory Folsom and Gail (David) Nolby; grandchildren, Ashley (Rob), Alex, Preston, Clayton, Kendra, Keegan, Peyton, Cale, Christina, Sam, Anna and Abby; great grandson, Arlo; sister-in-law, Eleanore Hunt; brother-in-law, Fred (Mary) Johnson, and Robert & Delores Larsen; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation 5-8 PM Friday, March 6th at HOLCOMB-HENRY-BOOM-PURCELL FUNERAL HOME, 515 HWY 96 W., at Mackubin, Shoreview. Memorial Service 2 PM Saturday, March 7th (visitation 1-2 PM) at CHRIST THE KING LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1900 7th Street NW., New Brighton. Private interment at a later date. Allen was a graduate of Macalester College, an Air Force Veteran, a long-time member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and past president of Mpls downtown Kiwanis Club. Allen had a long career at Juster's Mens Clothing Store ending as co-owner. Memorials preferred to Folsom Foundation (a Scholarship in memory of grandson, Connor).
