Elizabeth (Ward) Baker

Baker, Elizabeth Ward Born September 21, 1915 Died February 24, 2015 Preceded in death by husband John M Baker, parents; Frank & Helen Ward, sisters; Dorothy Ward, Mary Ward, & Sheila Ward Butler. Survived by children, Jack (Peggy) Overland Park KS, Bob, Overland Park KS, Mike (Millie) Shoreview, Shanley, Eden Prairie, Molly, Bloomington & Sally, Chicago; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; nieces & nephews. Elizabeth graduated from the College of St Catherine in 1937, and was married to John in 1940. They had 70 wonderful years together. In addition to volunteering at the various schools that her children attended, she served on the board of the St Paul Opera Guild, (now the Twin Cities Opera Guild) & the Jesuit Sogang University board. This group was instrumental in creating & building Sogang University in Seoul South Korea. She was a member of the Women's College Club, The Minnesota Club & the Pool & Yacht Club. Thank you to Friendship Village for the loving care. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Monday, March 2nd at Pax Christi Church (12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie). Visitation one hour prior to Mass.
