McCutcheon, Rev. James N. Passed away at Liberty Commons on January 21st at the age of 85. Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years Janet, his daughter Janet, his two sons George and James, six grandchildren and his sister Nancy Harrigan of New York. He is remembered for his life of caring and service to others. Jim served as a Naval Officer during the Korean War and served as the United Church of Christ Senior Minister at the First Church of Christ in Worcester, MA, the First Congregational Church of Kalamazoo, MI, and, Wayzata Community Church in Wayzata, MN. Jim graduated from Yale with an Engineering Degree and later received a Bachelor of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Divinity from Harvard. Jim shared a passion for fishing and athletics with his wife and children, being best remembered by his family for always making the time to support them as they faced their own challenges. Jim is also remembered for the fun and enthusiasm he brought to countless family fishing trips and sports events over the years. A celebration of Reverend McCutcheon's life of caring and service to others will be held at St. Christopher's Church in Chatham, MA on Saturday, January 31st at 11:00 AM.
