Shelton, James, Jr. James Jr. transitioned from this earthly life on Dec 29, 2014 in Ft Lauderdale, FL, James Jr. was born Nov 12, 1937 to the late James Shelton, Sr. and Alma Shelton of Metairie, LA. Survived by his former wife Joyce Berfect Shelton, and their five children: Welden, William (Adriana), Wendell (Monica), Warren (Alicia), and Wolanda Shelton. His siblings are Robert "Bob" Shelton (MN); Althia Nora (LA); Naomi Prosper (MN); Rita (Larry) King (TX); and the late Geneva Garner; Rev. Earl Ray Shelton (Shirley) living. James Jr. leaves to mourn a host of grandchildren, great-grand-children, family and friends. James Jr. was a Deacon at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in MN. He attended the the U of MN and graduated from Metro State Univ. in St. Paul, MN. He retired as Affirmative Action Administrator for the St. Paul Public School Dist. Memorial service in celebration of his life on Sat., Jan 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. for the Visitation and 12 p.m. for the Service, Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 451 W. Central Ave., St. Paul, MN 55103.
