Aldrich John E. "Jack" Aldrich, age 84, died April 5, 2005 at Edina Care Center under the care of Allina Hospice. He was born Jan. 5, 1921 in Washburn, WI. Served in the Army from 1939 to 1945 while fighting in the North African, Italian and European campaigns. Married Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Hodgin in 1945. They were married for 48 years. He attended the University of MN, worked as a heating & cooling engineer and for Hennepin County. Survived by sons, John Jr. (Sharon), Arbor Vitae, WI, Michael, Mora, MN and David, Brooklyn Park, MN; grandchildren, Jon (Tammy), Rockford, IL, Christopher (Celeste), Rockford, IL and Tesela, Mpls; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Eunice, Fontana, CA; brothers, William, Eveleth, MN, Robert, Coon Rapids, James, Wahpeton, ND. Preceded in death by wife, Betty; son, Daniel and sister, Lois. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family. Memorial service 11 AM, visitation 10 AM Monday, April 11 at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave S., Edina. 952-924-4100
