Halla Lewis Dean (Lew) Halla, born July 2, 1917 went home to be with The Lord on April 21. He died peacefully at his home in Arizona. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife of 62 years, Frances (Samuelson); children, Bob, Barry, Brian (Carolyn), Bill, Heidi (Eric). He was an adored Grandpa of Tiffany, Alison, Christian and Ellice. An avid golfer and photographer, Lew was a loved and loving husband and father who always made family his first priority. He faithfully and diligently served as Special Agent for the FBI for 28 years, retired and then served The First National Bank of St. Paul as Director of Security for 13 years. We have respected, honored and cherished him. He leaves behind a legacy of humor, joy and dignity. Always a gentleman, he has been a role model for us all. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Rio Verde Community Church (25603 Danny Lane, Rio Verde, AZ, 85263), in honor of Lew. No memorial service is scheduled at this time.
