Burke, James W. Age 84 of Bloomington, passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2014. Jim was a high school chemistry and computer science teacher for 30 years having taught in all three Bloomington high schools: Lincoln, Kennedy, and Jefferson. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 50 years Joann, and loving, active father to his three sons Jim, Tom and John. Preceded in death by parents and infant daughter Martha Ann. Survived by wife, Joann; sons Jim (Kate), Tom (Kim), and John (Mindy); grandchildren Sarah, Elizabeth, Mary Clare, Ted, Sam, Sophie, Emily, Matthew, Josh, Tyler, David, and Charlie; and faithful companion Casey (their poodle). VISITATION on Tuesday evening, Nov. 11th, from 4 pm until 8 pm at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 9947 Lyndale Ave. South, Bloomington. FUNERAL MASS on Wednesday, Nov. 12th, 11 am at Saint Agnes Church, 535 West Thomas Ave., Saint Paul - reception and lunch to follow. Private interment on Thursday, Nov. 13th.
