Charles Ostroot

Ostroot, Charles Age 90, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on October 23, 2014. Preceded in death by parents, Merl and Ruth; first wife Betty Ann (Berglund); brother Glen; second wife Carolmae (Nelson), step-granddaughter, Shannon. Longtime employee of Peavey Company. He led a full life enriched by his love of family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and devoted caretaker of his summer cottage on Shady Island, Lake Minnetonka. Survived by daughter, Jane (Joe) Kraska; sons, Jim (Phyllis) Ostroot, John (Katherine) Ostroot, Daniel (Kathleen) Ostroot; step-daughters, Barbara (Gary) Larson, Carol Ann (Skip) Dickinson, Mary Beth (Charles) Allen, and Catherine (John Jensen) Nelson; grandchildren, Sara, Meghan, Ann, Erik, Mara, Molly, Kari, Cory, Karl; and 7 great-grandchildren; step-grand-children, Doug, Katie, Rob, Annie, Melissa, Andy, Eric, Erin and Emily and 14 step-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014 at 12 noon at Valley of Peace Lutheran Church, 4735 Bassett Creek Dr., Golden Valley. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
