Bollensen, James G. Age 76, of Stone Lake WI & St. Petersburg, FL. Beloved Husband, Dad, and Poppy, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family after a short, noble battle with a brain tumor on Oct 19. Born in Evanston, IL on April 2, 1938 to George & Mercedes Bollensen. Married Patricia Ann Bigham on Nov. 25, 1961. They moved to IN & then to MN in 1968. There, Jim accepted a job for Northern States Power (now Xcel Energy), he retired in 1998. After retirement, they moved to their lake home in WI. Jim was a happy man who always put his family first. He would help anyone, and was quick to lend a hand where one was needed and to share his talents and abilities. He collected & restored many cars in his lifetime. Jim & Patty were able to extensively travel throughout the world & made many lasting memories. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patty; sons, Eric (Laura) & Marc (Angela); daughter, Emily Bollensen (Stefan Reuther); 9 grandchildren: Maria, Victoria, and Alyssa Bollen-sen; Nicole, Abigail, and Natalie Bollensen, Bill Bollensen, and Colin & Brielle Reuther; sister Gail Phillip (James); brother-in-law Richard Bigham; and many other relatives & cherished friends. Special thanks to Heartland Hospice. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Sat., Oct. 25 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake MN. Visitation one hour prior. Private interment in Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to a charity that you are passionate about.
