Bullock, James Henry Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend Age 85, of New Brighton, passed away with his loving family by his side at Our Lady of Peace Home, on August 17, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents Elsie Simonds and James Bullock Sr., and mother and father in-law, Mildred and Clinton Randall. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy; and sons, James and Jon; brother Alvie (Ann) Bullock; sisters Lois (Mike) Popp and Elsie (Andy) Backo; as well as many nieces and nephews. Also survived by long-time friends, David Evans and Hal Schaffer. Jim was born on July 17, 1929 in Binghamton, New York. After four years in the U.S. Air Force, he graduated from the University of North Dakota. His teaching career began in the St. Anthony Village school district, first teaching elementary school, followed by high school Physical Education, Health, and coaching a variety of sports. He also started their Adaptive Physical Education program. He retired after 30 years of teaching at St. Anthony, and later returned to teach elementary school students at Torah Academy. Jim was a kind, compassionate, spiritual and humble man. The joy of his life was his family. He will forever remain in our hearts and be greatly missed. Our family wishes to thank everyone involved with Jim's care; HHH Cancer Center, North Memorial Home Care, and a special thanks to the first floor nursing staff and sisters at Our Lady of Peace, who provided him with outstanding care.
