Cizek, Lloyd Henry Husband, Father, Grandfather. Age 81, Northwest Airlines Captain Survived by a family forever grateful for the blessing of his life. Passed away peacefully on Aug. 6, the 59th anniversary of his wedding to his loving wife Josephine (Hottinger) Cizek. Preceded in death by his parents John Joseph ("Jack") and Anna Irene (Swifka) Cizek. Survived by his wife, Josephine (Jo); devoted father to John (Dianne), Bill (Clare), Jeanette (Tom) Leighton, Jim (Jaymie), Patty (Bill) Flynn, and David; and the apples of his eye, grandchildren Josie (Matt) Sullivan, Jessa, Zach, and Ellie Cizek; Jenna (Kory) Stark, Alex, and Jack Cizek; Art, Katie, Charlie, Lucy, and Henry Leighton; Blake and Josh Cizek; and Bill, Aileen, Mary, and Maureen Flynn. Lloyd was a proud graduate of CRETIN HIGH SCHOOL's CLASS OF 1950, and of St. Thomas College in St. Paul. US Air Force KC-97 Pilot. A master mechanic who brought historic cars and aircraft back to life, Lloyd enjoyed flying, barbershop singing, cooking, fishing, and reading. A member of the 1968 Vulcan Krewe and of the Quiet Birdmen, Lloyd will be remembered for his great faith, love of his family, quick wit, love of dogs, organizational ability, and keen memory. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday at the CHURCH OF ST. JOSEPH, 1154 Seminole Avenue, West St. Paul. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Sunday at O'HALLORAN & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 575 S. Snelling Ave (651) 698-0796 and 9-10 a.m. before funeral mass at the Church of St. Joseph. Burial Resurrection Cemetery.
