Mulvahill, Jean Phyllis Our beloved mother Jean, age 93, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents John and Emma, and two sisters, Yvonne Tlam (Alvin) and Maxine Anderson (Gordon). Survived by daughters, Amy Mulvahill and Julie Mulvahill (Peter Yoo), granddaughter Gemma Yoo, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Longtime member of the First Unitarian Society, she was an active member of the Alliance and worked on many social justice and world peace issues throughout her long life. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. degree in medical technology, and worked as a laboratory scientist in a private clinic, and later at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center where she met her beloved husband, John. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend, and was extraordinarily proud of her family, especially her granddaughter Gemma. She was also proud of her Norwegian heritage, traveled extensively, gardened and followed the news until her last days. Per her wishes, no funeral service will be held. A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Jean's life will be held in the near future.
