Foster, Kathleen Joanne age 82; better known as "GramCracker" - the nickname given to her by her grandchildren who enjoyed endless amounts of s'mores up at her cabins up north. Kathy passed away peacefully surrounded by her children who strived to live out her life passions - work hard, play hard, take a walk daily, pick up trash, love the planet, always have a dog or two, return things better than you found them, help others if you can, and "maximize your passport" (as Barbi put it). She was an adventurer and a competitive game player and a lover of life. The love of the outdoors, golf, tennis, skiing, fishing and bridge were very important to her. But mostly she was kind and taught us all to love deeply. Most deeply was the love for her 11 grandchildren and her great-granddaughter Willa Jane, & her sweet dog Abby. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph A.Foster and both parents, several sisters & brothers. She is survived by her 6 children: Brett, David (Sheryl), Lisa, Jodi Hotvet (Jeff), Gregory (David), and Barbi Odom (John). She is also survived by her older sister Maxine Fashant & brother Donald Hausken and extended Hausken family. Service will be held at Westwood Community Church in Excelsior, MN on Monday 12/18 at 11 AM with visitation @ 10 AM. The family is asking for donations to the Alzheimers Association or the NC Little Hospice House in lieu of flowers. Interment Tuesday with family at Fort Snelling.
