Sophie Marie McWilliams

McWilliams, Sophie Marie Age 93 of Roseville, passed away on December 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenyon, as well as her 4 siblings. She is survived by her sons, Kenyon Jr. (Jane), Randy (Jo Lynn) and her daughter, Wanda (Greg) Newgren; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great -grandson. Sophie was born on December 3, 1924 in Memphis, TN to George and Leona Durling. She was the eldest of 5 children, 4 girls and 1 boy. After graduating from Humes High School in Memphis, TN, she married U.S. Navy sailor, Kenyon McWilliams. Visitation will be 5-7 pm TOMORROW Thursday, December 14 at Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 Hamline Ave. N., Roseville, 651-631-2727. Funeral Service will be 11 am Friday, December 15 at South Shore Trinity Lutheran Church, 2480 S. Shore Blvd, White Bear Lake, with visitation beginning at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery alongside her beloved husband of 63 years, Kenyon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Presbyterian Homes Foundation or the Allina Heart & Vascular Center, Cardiac Research.
