Lovgren, Phyllis (Johnson) age 93, was born on September 4th 1924, died unexpectedly on December 6th 2017. Phyllis was born in Chicago, Illinois of Swedish immigrant parents. She was proud of her Swedish heritage her entire life. She won a scholarship to the University of Chicago and earned her bachelor's degree and a Master of Library Science degree. She spent most of her adult life in Indianapolis, Indiana and raised her family there. She worked in a number of libraries, spending most of her working years at the Greenwood, Indiana Public Library. She moved to Minnetonka, Minnesota over three years ago to be near her family. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, her loving husband Eric and her daughter Ann. She is survived by her son Fred and her daughter Amy, her four grandchildren, Eric, Adam, Nathan, and Elizabeth, her four great grand-children, and nieces and nephews. Her entire family loved her and will deeply miss her generous spirit and her intelligence. A Memorial Service to honor Phyllis will be held at a later date. Contributions in Phyllis's name can be made to either Amnesty International or the American Heart Association.
