Carlsen, Steven Ernest A devoted loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away unexpectedly in his Minnetonka, MN home on December 2nd, 2017 at the age of 64. Steve is survived by his loving daughters Megan Carlsen (Brett) and Emily Stewart (Barry); his grandchildren Jackson (Megan), Lincoln and Hattie (Emily); his sister Karen Childers (Michael) and nieces Kristen Woodcock and Kimberly Wenke. He is preceded in death by his father Ernie Carlsen and his mother Kathryn Carlsen. Steve was born April 19, 1953 and raised in Spring Valley, MN. He attended Spring Valley High School where he was well known as Chet. He graduated from NTI with a degree in drafting and went on to work for MTS for the last 42 years. He developed many loving and lasting relationships with his colleagues locally and around the world. Steve cared deeply about his family and friends and enjoyed traveling, golfing, fishing, cooking, HH on his beautiful patio, tinkering with projects around the house, and most recently crafting handmade wooden cutting boards. He will be extremely missed by his family and friends, but never forgotten. A celebration in his honor will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 3:00-7:00pm at Dahlgreen Golf Course, 6940 Dahlgren Rd, Chaska, MN 55318. In lieu of a card or flowers we request that you bring a photo (old or new) and/or a funny story or good memory of Steve to share with his family. As our dad would say, "Enough already."
