Ratner, Elizabeth "Betty" Age 93, of Edina, passed away at her home on November 17th. Preceded in death by her parents John and Celestine Duffy, brother William Duffy, brother Jack Duffy, sister Mary Allen, and daughter Rocel Kingman. Survived by brother Earl Duffy (Jan) of Andover, MN, son Jeffrey Cochran (Petra) of Rochester, MN, son Michael Cochran (Arlene) of Eden Prairie, MN, and daughter Shayne Ratner of Edina, MN, 6 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. Betty was a wonderful cook and a gracious hostess and held numerous dinner parties at her home on Lake of the Isles. Betty also gave her time and talents to a variety of organizations including the Variety Club where she was President of the Women's Auxiliary, President and District Governor of La Sertoma, served on the Aqua-tennial Committee, Mt. Sinai Hospital board and the Board of Brandies University. Betty planned and coordinated the National Governor's Conference hosted by Vice President Hubert Humphrey. Betty was also a past recipient of the WCCO radio Good Neighbor award. Betty worked at Edina Realty and JCPenney prior to her retirement. A memorial service will be held at Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, 55347 at 1:00 PM on December 4th with visitation starting at Noon. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
