Koch, Mary Lenore (Lenore LeRoux) 89, passed away unexpectedly on November 15th. She is survived by her loving husband Norbert Koch Jr. (Norb); her brothers, Roy LeRoux and Jean LeRoux; 8 adoring children, Connie Koch Wilson, Fran Sauer (Jim), Richard Koch (Sue), Theresa Gates (Byron), Patti Barcelo (Rudy), Paul Koch (Patti), Bob Koch (Chris), Carol Hunter (Chris Cecka); 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Louise LeRoux; her sisters, Rita Crews and Jeanette Houle and by her infant daughter Marie and her infant great granddaughter Evelyn Oien. Lenore was born in Hugo, MN; her youth was filled with the joys and hard work of living on the family farm. She had a very close, loving family, and has shared throughout the years, many of her memories and humorous childhood antics. She attended Wayzata High School, and worked at Bell Telephone after her graduation. At 19, Lenore met her husband to be Norb Koch. They married and went on to raise 8 children in Golden Valley and North Oaks. They live in Blaine and spent the colder months at their home in Arizona where they were able to spend time with some of their children and grandchildren that now live there. She was an avid golfer, with a hole in one under her belt. She enjoyed many other hobbies as well like painting, gardening, garden club, stained glass, and was an accomplished knitter. Her spirit and endless determination, led her to hike the Grand Canyon at age 68 which was an amazing accomplishment. She was an extraordinary cook, who never let anyone leave without a container filled with leftovers. She left behind a plethora of "Lenorbie" stories that will be remembered and re-told for years to come. Lenore devoted the later years of her life to her husband who along with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will profoundly miss her, especially her infectious laugh and kind heart. She showed us all how to live, love and laugh with GUSTO! Visitation at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH BLAINE CHAPEL (107th Ave. NE & Hwy. 65) Wednesday, November 29th from 5-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at ST. JOSEPH OF THE LAKES CATHOLIC CHURCH (171 Elm St., Lino Lakes) Thursday, November 30th at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior.
