Michael Steven Volk

Volk, Michael Steven Age 61 of Eagan died in the early morning hours of November 18th in his home. Preceded in death by father, Jack; step-father, Leon; Survived by mother, Marjorie; wife, Joanna; children, Gordon, Eli, Sophia and Jillian; siblings, Rhoda & Jack, Deborah & Mark, Natalie & Tsion, and Howard & Lori; in-laws, Larry and Lois Schochet; a beloved uncle and cousin to many others. With special thanks to all his friends, family and the entire Jewish community that gave his life purpose and meaning. As a strong believer in the phrase "the world belongs to those who show up", Michael was always generous with his time - volunteering for his kids' activities and organizations across his communities. He was good natured, kind, hard-working, and always willing to lend a hand. Funeral service MONDAY (TODAY), 1:30pm, BETH JACOB CONGRE-GATION, 1179 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, with burial directly after at Chesed Shel Emes Cemetery of St. Paul. Memorials preferred to Chesed Shel Emes Cemetery in care of the Volk family. Shiva will be held at Michael's house Monday - Saturday at 7pm (excluding Friday).
