Bruce Edward Hesse

Hesse, Bruce Edward peacefully died on Oct. 20, 2017 and was born on August 25, 1934 in Glenwood, MN, the only child of Lester Christian Hesse and Myrtle Evelyn Wilson Hesse. Raised in Benson, MN, he graduated from Little Falls High School in 1952, Saint Olaf College in 1956, and Luther Seminary in 1960. Married Jane B. Rotegard in 1957. He served Lutheran congregations in Keewatin, MN, Joliet, Il, and Detroit, MI, also worked as social work administrator at Anoka Regional Treatment Center and a social worker at Methodist Hospital. Survived by his wife, Jane, children Greta (Bob) Gauthier, Peter (Elisa), Joseph (Julie) and Michael, and 9 grandchildren. Services will be held Friday, Oct. 27 at 11:00 am at at Wayzata Community Church, 125 Wayzata Blvd., East. Visitation one hour prior. Burial in New Richland, MN.
