LaMarre, Jane Durand (Prosek) of Blaine, MN passed away peacefully October 17, 2017, while surrounded by family and loved ones. She lost her courageous battle with cancer at age 79. Jane was born in Chicago, IL on July 8, 1938. She was preceded in death by parents Octavia and Frank Prosek; James R Durand; son Jamie G Durand; and husband Gene LaMarre. She is survived by her children Joe (Linda) Durand, Julie (Doug) Cooper, Jon (Tracy) Durand and Jill Omann, stepchildren Betsy LaMarre (Claude Maddox), Ann (Grant) Mason and David LaMarre, special friend Richard "Dick" Kurash, 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brother Bob (Carol) Prosek, sister Mary Jo Meuris, and many friends and family. She was a graduate of Northwestern College and a long-time employee of Xcel Energy (NSP). Jane was an extraordinary crafter, excelling at anything that could be sewn, crocheted or knitted. She was a devoted member of Epiphany Catholic Church and dedicated volunteer. She loved to travel, and especially prized her annual trips to Mexico. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and generous friend. Visitation Friday, October 27th at 9:30 am with Mass and Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 am, Epiphany Catholic Church, 1101 Hanson Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN. Memorials to Jane LaMarre in care of cancer research. Luncheon to follow.
