Johnson, Camilla Lorraine (Ecklund) age 94, of Edina, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017. Camilla was preceded in death by her parents, Swan Martin & Hattie Amelia Ecklund; husband, Norman; brothers, Howard, Marvin and Douglas Ecklund; and her sisters, Rosella Moritz and Anna Mae Blade. Camilla is survived by her children, Karne, Douglas (Sharon), Brian (Doris), Julie and David (Brenda); as well as many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. Camilla grew up in Hallock, MN and graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. She was also a Navy Cadet Nurse and had a professional career in Nursing as a Psych Nurse (U of M Hospital), Labor & Delivery Nurse (U of M Hospital) and retiring from Methodist Hospital as an Orthopedic Nurse. Her extensive hobbies included researching family history, oil & water color painting, golfing, reading, traveling, baking, knitting, playing the piano, and entertaining family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, Nov. 3, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Lutheran Church of Good Shepherd, 4801 France Ave S., Mpls. A special thanks to the Hospice staff at PNMC-Methodist Hospital and N.C. Little Hospice in Edina, MN for their incredible care and support given to our mother in her final days of her life.
