Sinning, Hazel Marie (Jessick) Born April 23, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and passed peacefully at the N.C. Little Hospice in Edina, Minnesota on October 17, 2017 at the age of 90. Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Donald Sinning, her parents, Phillip and Alma Jessick (Kettner); by special friends Earl Chase and Dick Fisher, and by many beloved animal companions. She is survived by daughter, Cheryl Sinning (David Malmberg) and son, Gary Sinning; granddaughters, Sydney Carlock (James Peterson), Lily Bo Carlock (Sean Widuch) and Grace Carlock (Jason Cooper), and step-children, Jim Sinning (Leslie) and Judy Sinning Graves (Ted Gilson). Hazel lived a full life and was truly a person who made the planet a kinder and gentler place. She will be remembered for her humor, her generosity and the twinkle in her eye that brought a smile to so many. Hazel's sixteen years at the Richfield American Legion were a perfect match for her outgoing personality. In later years she and her husband Art were fortunate enough to be able to travel the world visiting (and shopping) sixty-two countries. Hazel was a member of House of Prayer Lutheran Church for fifty- eight years and until her health declined, volunteered at the Edina Care Center where she would make it a point to befriend those who had few visitors. The family would like to thank the compassionate staff of N.C.Little Hospice for their attentive and loving care. Hazel's request for no memorial service will be honored with a private interment at Lakewood Cemetery. She wanted to be remembered with laughter in shared stories of her many antics. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Home Society and Feline Rescue. Morris Nilsen Chapel 612-869-3226 morrisnilsen.com
