Bartee, Shirley Y. (nee Lindros) of Minnetonka, MN passed away on August 4, 2017. Born on October 28, 1925 in Chicago, IL to Thure J. Lindros (b. Stockholm, Sweden) and Agnes E. Lindros (Horneij) (b. Sundsjo, Jamtland, Sweden), she graduated from Millikin University, Decatur, IL with a degree in Vocal Music in 1947. A gifted vocalist, she shared her love of music every day of her life - professionally, in the community, and especially with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Survived by sister, June M. Ford (Lindros); children, John R., Thomas W., Kathryn D., Joseph E., Nancy L. (Bartee) Hacker; grandchildren, Rachel and Brian Bartee, Allison, William and Hannah Bartee, Matthew and Benjamin Hambro; step-grandchildren, Tammy and Terri Holmlund, Jennifer Chiulli; great grandchildren, Makenna Rustad, Quentin and Isabel Bartee; step-great grandchildren, Jordan Ward, Alex and Austin Miller, Madison and Jack Schissler and Nathan Chiulli. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Bartee, Jr; sons, David W. and Robert C. (III) Bartee; step-mother, Hedwig Levander Lindros; siblings, Roy J. Lindros, Ruth Armagast Teachnor (Lindros), Raymond T. Lindros; and step-brother, Robert Levander. A memorial will take place on October 28, 2pm at St. Luke Presbyterian Church, 3121 Groveland School Rd., Wayzata, MN 55391. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Shirley's life. Memorials preferred to St. Luke Presbyterian Church.
