Mandil, Marsel (Marcello) Age 90, passed away on October 9, 2017, in Edina, surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous and dignified battle with cancer. Survived by soulmate of 70 years Darce, daughter Stella (Jerry) Rezac, granddaughter Nicole (Dan) Cronin, grandson Justin (Erin) Rezac, 5 great-grandchildren Katherine, Ashley, and Ryan Cronin, Micah and Makayla Rezac; 3 nephews, and many friends. Marsel arrived in the United States with his wife and young daughter in 1960 from Italy not speaking a word of English. Together, and with hard work and perseverance, they achieved the American dream of owning several successful businesses for many years. Marsel was able to enjoy a long and relaxing retirement in Sarasota, FL. and Edina, MN. However, the ultimate joy of his life was his family. He had a boundless admiration and an endless generosity when it came to his family. He comforted us and assured us that in the end, everything will be alright, "Que Sera Sera". His only regret and sadness was that he would miss his family. Now, we are left to deeply miss him, but know that he will be in our hearts and memories forever. WE LOVE YOU BUMPA. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 28 at 5:00 PM at Edina Country Club, 5100 Wooddale Avenue, Edina, MN 55424.
