Anderson, Russell O. a loving husband, father and grandpa of Osseo, passed away October 12, 2017 at age 85. Preceded in death by parents, Wilbur and Mildred and siblings, Jack, Corinne, Bob, Barb, Judy, and Donald "Joe". He is survived by wife of 62 years, Millie; daughters, Karen (Jeff) Odell and Linda (Thomas) Rud; grandchildren, Brittney, Ansley, Sam, Evan, and Marissa; and sister-in-law, Alice (Paul) Martella. Russ grew up in Hibbing, served in the US Air Force and attended the U of M. He was treasurer/controller of Emrich Baking Co, volunteered as the treasurer of Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church for over 20 years, and was on the board of the Tanzania Life Project. He worked with Habitat for Humanity and he was always the man willing to help neighbors with any project. One of his greatest gifts was being an extraordinary listener and making everyone around him feel important. His new title is heaven's newest handyman.
