Pederson, Louise Isabel "Lou" (nee Thompson) age 87, of St. Louis Park, passed away peacefully Sept. 21, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Jean Thompson; brother, Robert Jr.; sister, Ellen; and husband of 64 years, Curtis Pederson. Survived by sons, Mark, Scott (LeAnn), Jeff (Etsuko) and Gregg (Christa); 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Erik, Laura, Matthew and Bennett; as well as nephew, Robert Thompson and niece, Linda Jackson, both of Arizona. Louise met Curtis shortly after WWII in which Curtis was an Army Veteran with a Purple Heart. They both attended Iowa State University and moved to St. Louis Park soon afterwards. Lou, as she preferred to be called, was very active and engaged teaching her boys youth sports & games, and was an excellent tutor, having working in the SLP School District for over 20 years. She was an avid bowler her entire life and was also a singer for the Manor Tones. Lou continued to engage with her grandchildren as she was very involved in their lives as well. Lou's competitive spirit lives on within her boys and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, however she will now rejoin the love of her life, Curt. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Friday, Sept. 29, 9:00 AM in Assembly Area #1.
