Ludwig, Michael Earl lived a deep and intense life. He was born in Minneapolis on September 21, 1976. At the age of 6, he moved to France with his family where he lived until he was 19. He graduated from Wheaton College in IL with a bachelors of arts in Economics. He received a master's degrees in Theology in Strasbourg, France, then studied and translated Philosophy in Tübingen, Germany. He was a seeker of truth, thirsty for knowledge, an avid reader of philosophy, history of ideas, psychology, and literature (from classics to science-fiction). He was a great thinker: always striving to design new ways of making life more fair and free for all. He travelled extensively. Michael's career was dedicated to IT where he had a special interest in data and systems. He was generous and attentive to his family, friends, colleagues and new acquaintances. Michael enjoyed lively conversations over delicious food and wine. Michael lived an authentic life and was loved by many across the continents. He passed away on September 7, 2017 in Minneapolis after a long struggle with recurring depression. He is survived by his grandfather, David Ludwig, his parents, Jay and Pamela Ludwig, his siblings, Jenelle (Ed) Ludwig Krause, Brian Ludwig (Maha Tahiri) and Laura Zukanoff as well as his nephews Owen and Henry Zukanoff. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to the Center for Healthy Minds or the The Tiwahe Foundation. A memorial will be held for Michael at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel on October 7, 2017 at 10 AM, near the Lakes he so loved.
