Frederick Earl Atkinson

Atkinson, Frederick Earl Fred walked off the course on September 18, 2017. He was born in Minneapolis on Nov 13, 1946 to Earl and Aurelia. As he grew, so did his ability to entertain all he met. After graduation from Patrick Henry in 1964, Fred joined the Navy where he made life-long best friends. Together they navigated life through marriage, children, and deer hunting. Along the way, his passion for golf never faded. He spent countless hours playing, teaching, and sharing a laugh with friends. He will be remembered for his caring spirit and willingness to give all he could to those in need. He is survived by his children, Edward and Rebecca (Jerrid); grandchildren, Jessamyn, Nora, and Gabriel; sister, Carol; seven nieces and nephews, and two very special and unique friends. Mass of Christian Burial to be held Sept 28, 2017 at 11 am at The Church of St. Timothy, 707 89th Ave NE, Blaine with a visitation beginning at 10am. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 2pm.
