Haire, Ruth V. Of St. Anthony. While surrounded by loved ones, this beautiful woman was peacefully and lovingly swept upward on wings of eagles September 21, 2017, after more than 100 years. Born in 1917 to Herman and Elsie Blunck in Owen, Wisconsin. Ruth was raised along with two brothers: Jim and Bill. In high school she met and began dating Russell Haire. She earned a teaching certificate and taught first through eighth grades all in a one room schoolhouse for a few years. Ruth and Russ were married in 1939, and began their own family in 1940. She was instrumental in helping Russ found Industrial Lumber and Plywood in 1948. Ruth was a member of Grade United Methodist Church and the Mabel Main Circle since 1950. Survived by daughters Lanny (Champ) Reshetar and Jolie Williams; daughter-in-law Keta Haire; special "daughter" Sue Edwards; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband Russ; son Gerald Lee and daughter Lola Taylor. Special thanks to Abbott Northwestern ER, ICU and Palliative Care and Chandler Place for their years of love and comfort. She loved sewing, knitting and traveling, along with staying very active in helping to raise each generation as it came along. A loving and gentle soul who will be dearly missed.
