Lindgren, Glenn Michael Age 62 of Eagan, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 16 doing what he loved best: hiking in one of Minnesota's State Parks with his beloved wife of 38 years, Maureen, who was also Glenn's best friend. He was born February 9, 1955 in Minneapolis to Leslie Glen and Shirley Dolores (nee Bergeron) Lindgren. Glenn is survived by his wife, Maureen Ann McLaughlin; loved children, Erin (Claude Warzecha), Dennis (Nora), and Gabrielle Lindgren; treasured grandsons, Magnus and Finn; sisters, Diane Moore and Vicky (Jerry) Bostrom; step-father, Frank Berger; plus many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother- in-law, Richard Moore. Glenn set the gold standard for a husband and father, and his family was his greatest joy in life. He never missed an opportunity to shout from the rooftops his love for his wife and his pride in his children, or to make time for family through ice cream and sandwich runs, yearly vacations, and sharing advice. His other greatest joy was cooking and eating, and writing and talking about food. He was the author of two popular cookbooks, Three Guys From Miami Cook Cuban, and Three Guys From Miami Celebrate Cuban, which together have sold more than 45,000 copies. He also designed and managed one of the most popular sites on the internet dedicated to Cuban culture, food, and travel, iCuban.com. As a celebrated author, he made appearances on the Food Network, Travel Channel, NPR, and local news in Minnesota and Miami. Glenn also loved the arts; he was a prolific reader, had a massive and eclectic music collection, and enjoyed watching and critiquing films. His quick wit, terrible puns, and tremendous love will be forever missed. Memorial Mass will be 4 PM, Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Church of St. Thomas Becket, 4455 South Robert Trail, Eagan, with Visitation 1 hour prior. Memorials are requested to Second Harvest Heartland 2harvest.org Klecatsky and Sons Eagan Chapel (651) 454-9488 Klecatskys.com
