Peterson, Francis "Pete" Formerly of Roseville. Age 92. Passed away September 17th, 2017 at home surrounded by family. Preceded in death by Helen, his wife of 66 years, and brothers Merle and Richard. Survived by sister Dorothy Arndt and sons Gregg (Amy), Scott (Carol) and daughter Karen Tich (Dan), six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Pete was a veteran of World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. After retiring, Pete and Helen remained very active volunteering with Store To Door, Harriet Alexander Nature Center and The Dorothy Day Center. KARE 11 honored them in 2003 with an Eleven Who Care Award. A celebration of Pete's life will take place on Thursday, September 21st from 5:00 8:00 PM at Centennial United Methodist Church, 1524 West County Road C2, Roseville. There will be a short memorial service at 7:00 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Pete's life. Private Internment at Fort Snelling. Memorials to Help at Your Door, (formerly known as Store To Door) or Boy Scouts of America Northern Star Council.
