Roe, Rev. Paul A. Age 89 of Bloomington, MN. Born February 6, 1928 in Stanley, WI to Edwin and Lula (Marvick) Roe. Died September 11, 2017. Upon graduation from Stanley HS in 1945, enlisted in the Navy (2 years). He graduated from St. Olaf College in 1951 and then attended Luther Seminary being ordained in 1955. Paul served as chaplain in the Air Force for 21/2 years, and served congregations in Minocqua, Onalaska, and Menomonie, WI and St. Paul, MN. After retiring from ministry, he worked for the ELCA Board of Pensions. Paul married his college sweetheart, Donna Vibber on June 14, 1952, recently celebrating 65 years of marriage. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Gayle Tolzmann; brothers, Edward, Glenn and Marvick; sisters, Dorothy and Elsa. Survived by wife, Donna; sister, Helen Warren; children, Linda Roe (Gwen Walker), Gwenn (Steven) Branstad, Nancy (Mike) Zoril, Peter (Christie) Roe, Deane Roe, Carol (Gregg) Steiger; son-in-law, Paul (Janet) Tolzmann; grandchildren, Andy, Diane (Nate), Erik (Kelly), Peter (Shanthi), Sam, Toby, Lauren (Philip), Molly, Matthew (Erin), Spencer (Kim), Tanner, Sarah, Ethan, Soren, Abby, Gus, and Ben; great-grandchildren, Josephine and George; and many cousins and dear relatives. Funeral service Saturday, September 16th, at 11 AM, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4100 Lyndale Ave. South. Interment, Oaklawn Cemetery, Northfield, MN. Visitation Friday, 6-8:30 PM at the church and one hour prior to service.
