Propotnik, Carol Jean was born in St. Cloud MN on May 8, 1955, Mother's Day, 3 days before her mother's own birthday. Carol graduated from St. Cloud State and obtained a Master's Degree in animal behavior from Liverpool, England. After living in England, she returned to Minnesota where she started Best Friends Animal Behavior, specializing in helping dogs, cats and their people with behavioral and communication issues. Her work was featured on television, radio and in the newspaper. Above all else, Carol loved working with and being around animals. Carol was passionate about preserving nature and was an advocate against the destruction of wolves in MN. Carol left this world too soon and we miss her deeply but believe she is in a better place, soaring with the eagles and howling with wolves. Carol is survived by her mother Rose Propotnik, sister, Barbara Jacobson, lifelong friend Don Wanschura and two beloved dogs Merlin and Sophie. She was preceded in death by her father Albert Propotnik. A celebration of life will be held October 8, 3pm-6 pm at 7505 Dupont Ave Richfield MN. Memorials to Collie Rescue, Howling with Wolves or other animal charity.
