Kangas, Gerald H. "Jerry" age 72, of Fridley, was called home on August 19, 2017. Jerry was a devoted husband, father and papa. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from Qwest after 32 years. Jerry leaves behind his best friend and wife of 48 years, Joanne; son, Andy (Robin); daughter, Kerri (Shannon); grandchildren, Carter, Sebastian, Reese, Savannah & Kailey; brother, Jim (Ruth); many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mae. Funeral service Thursday 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 825 51st Ave NE, Columbia Heights, MN 55421. Visitation Wednesday 5-8 PM at the Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley. Interment Ft. Snelling. Memorials preferred to the church in memory of Jerry.
