Paula Ann (Prok) Okerstrom

Okerstrom, Paula Ann Prok age 56, passed on Aug 16, 2017, following a 3 year battle with cancer. A native of South Minneapolis, Paula dedicated her life to teaching, shaping lives in four Twin Cities elementary schools. She also taught in Costa Rica, and in the summer Peace Village day camp. An outdoor enthusiast, she enjoyed cross country skiing, wilderness canoe trips, biking, and spending time with family and friends at their cabin near Ely. She is survived by her husband Michael, daughters Michelle and Hannah, parents Patricia and Silas Prok, brothers Mark, Matt and Chris Prok and their families. Memorial service 1 pm, Saturday, Aug 26 at Faith Mennonite Church, 2720 E 22nd Street, Mpls. Visitation 2 hours prior to service at church beginning at 11am.
