Olson, Hazel J. Age 86 of Mpls, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2017. Preceded in death by her husband Donald; parents Adolph and Rose, brothers, George, Cecil and Tom Malchow. Survived by her children, Shelley (William) Doneshefsky, Larry (Patricia) Olson, Wendy (Justin) Kerwick; grandchildren Alex and Sasha Doneshefsky, Emily and Ellen Kerwick. She is also survived by her sister Vera Malchow, sister in-law Betty and many nieces and nephews. Hazel was a homemaker while her children were young and then began her various careers in office, retail and food service. Mom enjoyed fishing, biking, bowling and the MN Twins. She promoted a life-long love of reading in her children. We will miss her smile, laughter and wisecracks. Graveside service at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:15. Please arrive at Assembly Area #4 by 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow at her daughter's house. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
