Barbara Jean (Slettedahl) Gertsema

Gertsema, Barbara Jean (nee Slettedahl) passed away on August 8th at Mercy Hospital, Coon Rapids. She had multiple health issues since 2009. She is survived by 3 sisters, Shirley Lecy, Granite Falls, Mildred Bruss (Dean) of Roseville, Lorraine Thompson (David,) Rapid City. Her brothers are Bob Slettedahl (Karla), Granite Falls, George Slettedahl (Linda), Cottonwood and David Slettedahl (Carol), Wood Lake. Barbara was preceded by 5 brothers, Lars, Kenneth, James, Lawrence, Jr. and Dale and sister, Corrine Spector. She was born at Echo, MN on 9/1/1945 and graduated from Wood Lake HS in 1963 and earned an Associate of Arts degree from Lakewood College. Memorial services will be on September 23rd at the Methodist Church in Wood Lake at 1 p.m. Cake and coffee will be served after the service in the Fellowship Hall. Inurnment will be in the family plot in Echo, MN. Please no flowers. Donations to the Lymphoma Society appreciated.
