Underhill, Russell Sabor age 90, went to be with our Lord on Aug. 15, 2017. Russell was born in NE Mpls. on April 13, 1927 to Bessie and Walter Under hill. He is preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Betty; children, Russell Jr., Michael, Deborah Klein and Vicky. He is survived by children, Gayle Ann Bassett and Steven; second wife, Della Roth; Grandpa loved his 10 grandchildren very much: Christopher, Bryan, Sheila, Russell III, Sandy, Jayson, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Alex and Becka. And, he would say that his many great-grandchildren, including Harry, Ethan, Owen and Ashton Bassett, were his rewards in life. Russell was very proud of his status as a Veteran of the United States Navy. He enlisted in 1944 and was honorably discharged in 1948 after serving in the South Pacific. He worked many years for Earl Manufacturing in NE Mpls, was a Housing Inspector and entrepreneur who would buy "things" and tried to sell them for more money, at an auction or a sale. He was always looking for that special item, where he would make his millions, and could retire. Russell loved life and did it his way. He will be remembered by everyone for his humor, generosity, and his love of his family. Our lives will not be the same without him. Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa...we love you and you will be always in our hearts. Thanks for the love, laughter and memories. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
