Fadlovich, Rudolph A. "Rudy" 88, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2017, surrounded by his family. Loved by all who met him, Rudy had an unbridled optimism in all that he did. He was a well-spoken gentleman with a sincere faith, and a loyal friend to many, offering a sympathetic ear and wise advice. Rudy considered his greatest accomplishments to be his loving marriage of 60 years to Lillian and the admiration of his five children and fifteen grandchildren. His positive attitude and perseverance enabled him to overcome physical adversity for years, much to the amazement of the doctors and nurses who cared for him. He instilled that optimism into his family and those around him. He was active in his community including his church, the Boy Scouts, and his homeowners' association. Rudy was born January 23, 1929 and raised in Gilbert, MN to Croatian parents. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth and received an MBA from Mankato State University. He proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1952 to 1954. He began a teaching career in Barnum, MN and ultimately taught business education at the Mankato Area Vocational Technical Institute. He then enjoyed a successful forty year career in the insurance industry. Rudy's work took him and his family from the Iron Range, to Mankato and then to Woodbury MN where he and Lillian have lived for the past 36 years. Rudy is survived by his devoted wife Lillian (Angeloni) and his five children: Michael Fadlovich, Nancy (Roger) Corazzo, Susan (Kim) Schwickert, Paul (Angela) Fadlo-vich, and John (Kristie) Fadlovich. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren: Peter, Nicholas, & Claire Fadlovich; Dan, Alyssa & Emily Corazzo; Ryan, Kaylee & Megan Schwickert; Rae, Jeff & Kevin Fadlovich; and Jack, Katharine Grace & Anna Lily Fadlovich.
