Linden, Elizabeth Virginia "Betty" of New Hope, passed away Aug. 9, 2017 after living a full life for nearly 96 years. Loving wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survived by Harold Linden, her loving husband of 70 years; children, Doug (Candy) Linden, Ken (Kim) Linden, Tom (Stephanie) Linden and Pam (Dan) Garvey; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason), Stephanie (Parrish), Kate (Adam), Mike (Laura), Dan (Nancy), Andrea, Amanda, Peter, Adam (Laura), Laura and Patrick; 8 great-grand-children; and 1 on-the-way; and loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Betty was born in Reading, PA on Sept. 17, 1921 to Mack and Elizabeth Wolfe. She graduated from high school in Reading, PA in 1939. Betty went on to nursing school at Hahnemann University Hospital and graduated as an RN. She met her husband, Harold Kenneth Linden at Ft. Indiantown Gap in PA at a dance. They married on Sept. 21, 1946 and the couple moved to WI where they began their family. In 1967 the family moved to New Hope. Betty worked as a manager at Tiffany Card & Gift in Midland Shopping Center for many years. She loved her family, gardening, bowling, golfing, dancing, travel, a huge animal lover and enjoyed many neighbors and friends over the years. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley and served as President of the Young at Heart Seniors Group. Funeral service Wednesday, Aug. 16, 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior to service at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel. Private burial service will be held at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Calvary Lutheran Church of Golden Valley or charity of donor's choice.
