Dokken, Joseph James Age 17, of Lakeville, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2017. Joey left us far too soon. He was such a bright light in the world: kind, gentle, and involved in many activities in the community. He was a Boy Scout preparing his Eagle Scout project. At Lakeville North High School he played the trumpet for the Jazz and Marching Bands, competed on the math team, as well as playing on the boys soccer team. He also played for the REV Soccer Club. Joey loved playing games with his friends and family. Joey had a brilliant mind and a beautiful smile that would brighten any day. He was a jokester and could make anyone laugh. We miss Joey deeply, but his presence will be felt, especially when we gather around the fire playing games and laughing together. Survived by parents, Eric and Diane; siblings, Natalie and Michael; grandmother, Joan Kimble; grandfather, Ralph Dokken; and too many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends to name. A celebration of Joey's life will be on Wednesday, August 9 at 11AM, with visitation at 9:30AM, at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 9600 163rd St W, Lakeville, MN 55044. Memorials preferred to the donor's favorite charity.
