Buszta, Ann (Czupta, Sroga) aka "Auntie Ann" Age 98, of NE Minneapolis. Passed away July 25, 2017. Preceded in death by Parents, Peter and Mary Czupta; first Husband Chet Sroga; second Husband John Buszta; Brothers and Sisters-in-law Julia, Marian, Agnes, Wally and Frank Buszta; Brothers John and Walter (Midge) Czupta, Chet and special Sister-in-law, Vickie Czupta; and Great-Nephew, Kenny Czupta. Survived by Sister-in-law Marge Buszta; many nieces and nephews, Devoted Neighbor Ralph Brzosek; godchildren and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Though Auntie Ann never had any children of her own, many say they thought of her as their second mother. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary or name day and there was always cash enclosed with the card saying "money for a treat". Though she didn't learn to drive, Auntie Ann never lacked for a driver to take her where she wanted to go. She liked heading to the casino and playing the slots where she frequently came home a winner. Perhaps her care free attitude had something to do with that. Many will remember late night card games at her house where winner takes all -25 cents! Auntie Ann was a 20 year volunteer at Catholic Eldercare starting at the young age of 77. She was proud of her polish heritage and never missed a "Nordeast" church carnival. "Dziekuje" (thank you) Auntie Ann for everything. We're going to miss you. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am TOMORROW (Monday, July 31, 2017) at Holy Cross Catholic Church (1621 University Ave. NE.) Visitation from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass on Monday at the church. Rosary service at 8:45 am on Monday at the church. Entombment will be in the Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Catholic Eldercare or Donor's Choice.
