Ronald Schneider

Schneider, Ronald 82, of Spicer, passed away July 10, 2017, of lewy body dementia. His funeral service will be at 11 am, Thursday, July 27th at Vinje Lutheran Church, Willmar, MN 56201 (1101 Willmar Ave SW). Visitation will be on hour prior to the service at the church. Ron was born to Harry and Agnes (Iverson) Schneider. He was raised on a farm, graduated from Westbrook High School and continued his education at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter before entering the NAVCAD program in the US Navy. After four years of aircraft carried takeoffs and landing he moved to the US Naval Reserve and returned to Minnesota. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in business and later earned his law degree from the University of Minnesota. He married Betty Weldon in New York City, New York in 1959. After completing law school they moved to Willmar, MN. Ron practiced law until retiring in 2012. During his years of practice he served as President of the Minnesota County Attorney's Association and President of the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association. Ron is survived by his wife, Betty, children: David (Trish) and Lynne, grandchildren: Eric, Suzanne, Sam and Megan; sisters, Romelle (Melvin) Wojahn and Anita (Grover) Bynum; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
