McCann, James I. died in his sleep on St Patrick's Day March 17th, 2017. He will be forever missed by mother, Artemise; son Aaron (Sherry), granddaughters, Brooke, Tate and Ava; great grandson Aspen; sister, Mary Jo Carlson; and brothers, Dennis, and Brian (Ann Marie). Preceded in death by father, James; sisters, Kathy and Colleen; and brothers, Steve and Kevin. James served his country in the United States Navy, then began his profession with long time partner and friend Phil Levin (Metacom / RNR Music / Rezound) before a 23-year retirement in Las Vegas. James loved business, family, poker and is well known for his "Jazzland" parties, family annual corn roasts and his love for Las Vegas where he spent 23 years playing professional poker in his retirement. A special thank you to family members Sherry, Brooke as well as Great Bend Health & Rehab for their tender loving care in his final years in Kansas living with his Son Aaron and his family. As requested in his final wishes that include this announcement of his death be on the birth sign of Leo and final celebration be held at Sporty's Pub & Grill, 2124 Como Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN on August 6th at 1pm. Please bring photos and memories in lieu of flowers.
