Buchanan, Bruce F. Lt. Colonel USAF Age 74, Born October 9 1942, died peacefully at his home in San Antonio Texas on July 12, 2017. Originally From Edina, Minne-sota, Bruce was part of the high school class of 1960 and received his B.D. from St. Olaf College in 1964. He proudly served in the US Air Force during Vietnam and eventually the Air Force Reserves OSI. During his service, he was the recipient of various medals and honors. Furthermore, Bruce earned his Master of Psychology from St Mary's University and was a Business owner in Bloomington, MN. While Bruce made many contributions to those around him throughout his life, he was most proud and grateful for the opportunity to serve with FEMA/The Red Cross where he conducted group therapy for Hurricane Katrina evacuees in San Antonio, TX. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Monique; daughter Isabelle (Anthony) Marentic; son, Christopher; step-son, Gil; adored grandchildren: Martin, Margaux, Miles, Mauro and Cecielia; brother, Jeffrey; and many relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Florence. He will be best remembered for his devotion in helping others; being accomplished and dedicated in everything he did; the love for his country and most of all, his closeness to GOD. Private military honors will be held at Fort Snelling Cemetery. Family & friends will gather for a celebration of his life on Monday, July 31. Flowers and cards may be sent to the Marentic residence: 4837 Park Ave S, Mpls, MN 55417. In lieu of flowers, donations may also be made to The Red Cross in memoriam.
