Leeson, Vincent J. Age 55, of St. Louis Park, passed away July 17, 2017. Vince was a deeply caring and generous person who also always had a welcoming, genuine smile for friends and neighbors. He was a lover of all animals, especially his pets on which he doted and to whom he devoted his life - his dogs Lilly and, for a short time, Meka, and his cat, Wiley, who all predeceased him - they were truly the lights of his life. Vince was happiest spending time in nature and hiking with Lilly, hanging out on his deck with a good cigar while grilling, watching birds and listening to music. Vince had a great sense of humor and could always make people smile and laugh with his silly antics, and through his gift for weaving humor into the recounting of his experiences. He loved his Florida Gators football team and many other sports. Vince also loved when he was able to skunk his Dad in a rousing game of cribbage. Vince was a successful and well-respected business man in the exterior remodeling industry. He worked tirelessly for years and built his business from the ground up, and he received many awards of recognition for his work over the years. Earlier in his life, Vince took great pleasure in contributing his time for years as a "big brother" volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities. Vince graduated from Bloomington Kennedy, class of 1980. Vince left the bulk of his estate to animal-related and other charities. Vince was a bright light in this world, and he will be greatly missed. He is survived by parents Ronald and Jacqueline Leeson, sister Shelley Leeson (Kevin Anderson), aunts Shirley Baribeau and Betty Swider, as well as several cousins and many loving friends. In lieu of flowers, we are certain that Vince would prefer that you give a memorial to an animal rescue or shelter of your choosing. Memorial service Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 1 p.m., at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4343 Nicollet Ave. S., Minneapolis MN 55409. Visitation one hour prior to service.
