Almquist, Russell F. Jr. 81, of the Twin Cities passed away peacefully, Monday, July 17, at Methodist Hospital Hospice in St. Louis Park, MN. Russell was born August 12, 1935 in Red Wing, MN to Russell Almquist Sr. and Myrtle (Goyer) Almquist. He spent his childhood in California & Minnesota, and graduated from Minneapolis Central HS & the U of M. He enjoyed a teaching career in the Minnetonka School District. Russell was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elizabeth (Almquist) Beckman. He is survived by his wife, Constance; children, Rolf (Lynn), Jon (Beth) and Kurt (Juli); 5 grandchildren, Kjerstin Davis (Brandon), Ian, Alec, Kathryn and Victoria. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Methodist Home Hospice or your favorite charity.
