Ronald Bennett 'Ron' Burgess

Burgess, Ronald "Ron" Bennett Died in his Coon Rapids home at age 86 Sunday afternoon, June 25, 2017. Born May 29, 1931, to Ralph and Gertrude Burgess in Fargo, ND. Ron and his wife, Elaine, moved to Coon Rapids in 1965 to raise a growing family of five girls, something he considered his most important job and one that became his legacy. Ron is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elaine; daughters, Roxanne (Tom) Yelle, Julie (Dave) Higgins, Brenda (David) Goder, Melonie (Rich Johnson) Burgess, Ronda (Laine) Nelson; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marlene Swanson of Fargo, Carol Lee Lien of Moorhead; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Gertrude; brothers, Jerry and Dennis; sisters, Joyce, Janice and Susan; great-grandson, Ethan.
