Lindie Lou (Mellema) Martin

Martin, Lindie Lou (Mellema) Age 64 of Scandia, MN passed away peacefully on June 24, 2017. Lindie Lou (Mellema) Martin was born on September 23rd 1952 in Aitkin, MN at Draper Maternity. She was the daughter of Otto & Anna Barbara (Weistroffer) Mellema. She went through the 10th grade at Aitkin High School in Aitkin, MN. Lindie was united in marriage to Thomas Glenn Martin on December 20th 1969 at Monticello Alliance Church in Monticello, MN. They were married 24 years and 11 months when her husband Thomas passed away on November 25th 1994. She was a machine operator for 20 years at Graco Inc. in Northeast Minneapolis, MN. She liked working on genealogy, finding her past and present relatives. She enjoyed traveling to meet the relatives that she found in her searches. Lindie had 4 children, Angela Rae Mellema, Twyla Dee Martin, Tanya Rose Martin and Thomas Glenn Martin Jr. Preceded in death by her parents Otto & Anna Barbara (Weistroffer) Mellema; her husband, Thomas Glenn Martin; son-in-law, Dale Thomas Patten; maternal grandparents, Helena Barbara (Reuland) & Frank Bernard "Black Jack" Weistroffer; paternal grandparents, Susan "Susie" (Hoving) & Ale Mellema; and great nephew, Angel Laine Nelson. Survived by children, spouses and grandchildren: Angela Rae (Mellema) Patten, Samantha Rae (Patten) & Brandon Michael Hedtke, Tiffini Rae Patten, Twyla Dee Martin, Tanya Rose (Martin) & David Robert Skau-Armstrong, Sara Marie (Greschwind) & Thomas Glenn Martin Jr., Brittany Alexis Martin, Brianna Rose Martin, Saceilia Tierney Martin, and Oaklon Otto Martin. Also survived by sister & brothers & their children: Robert Leroy Mellema, BevAnna Jean Mellema, Tina Marie (Mellema) Fischer, Misty Dawn (Mellema) Ashley, Lewis Otto Mellema; Julie Ann (Mellema) & Robert Walter Midthun, Wendy Kristin Midthun; Julianne Marie (Hooper) & Fredrick Charles Mellema, Dianna Bernice Mellema & Karianne Marie Mellema; and many other relatives.
